Inti atom terdiri dari partikel yang disebut proton dan neutron yang terletak di pusat atom. Proton memiliki muatan positif sedangkan neutron tidak memiliki muatan. Bersama-sama, proton dan neutron membentuk inti yang memberikan massa kepada atom.<\/p>\n<h2>Penjelasan dan Jawaban<\/h2>\n<p>Struktur inti atom merujuk pada susunan bagian terkecil dari atom yang disebut inti. Inti atom terdiri dari partikel subatomik yaitu proton dan neutron, sedangkan di sekitar inti terdapat partikel subatomik yang berputar dalam orbit yang disebut elektron.<\/p>\n<p>Proton memiliki muatan positif dan memberikan kontribusi pada massa atom, sedangkan neutron tidak memiliki muatan dan juga memberikan kontribusi pada massa atom. Elektron memiliki muatan negatif dan jumlah elektron di dalam atom sama dengan jumlah proton di inti atom, sehingga atom bersifat netral secara keseluruhan.<\/p>\n<p>Struktur inti atom juga menggambarkan jumlah elektron di kulit terluar atom yang menentukan sifat kimia dari suatu unsur. Muatan dan massa partikel subatomik ini menentukan sifat dan kestabilan atom. Jumlah elektron di kulit terluar juga menentukan sifat kimia dari suatu unsur.
