Dalam deret aritmatika, setiap suku dihasilkan dengan menambahkan beda ke suku sebelumnya. Misalnya, jika suku pertama adalah a dan beda adalah d, maka suku kedua adalah a + d, suku ketiga adalah a + 2d, dan seterusnya.<\/p>\n<p>Contoh deret aritmatika adalah 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, dll. Di sini, beda antara setiap suku adalah 3.<\/p>\n<p>Deret geometri adalah rangkaian bilangan yang setiap suku dihasilkan dengan mengalikan suku sebelumnya dengan suatu bilangan tetap yang disebut rasio. Misalnya, jika suku pertama adalah a dan rasio adalah r, maka suku kedua adalah a*r, suku ketiga adalah a*r^2, dan seterusnya.<\/p>\n<p>Contoh deret geometri adalah 2, 6, 18, 54, 162, dll.
